Validation of the Curriculum Model based on Future Research According to Assessment of Educational, Cultural and Social Needs of Students

Abstract

Purpose: Examining the educational, cultural and social needs of students based on future research and including them in the curriculum is very important and necessary. As a result, the present research was conducted with the aim of validating the curriculum model based on future research according to educational, cultural and social needs of students. Methodology: This study in terms of purpose was applied and in terms of implementation method was descriptive. The research population was all the teachers of the first year of high school of Arak city in the 2023-2024 academic years, which 389 people of them based on the Cochran's formula were selected and by multi-stage cluster sampling method as a sample. The tool of the current research was a researcher-made questionnaire of curriculum model based on future research according to educational, cultural and social needs of students which its face validity was confirmed by experts and its reliability was obtained by Cronbach's alpha method 0.93. The data of this research were analyzed by exploratory factor analysis method in SPSS software. Findings: The findings of this study showed that the factor load of all components of goals, content organization, teaching methods and evaluation methods in the curriculum model based on future research according to educational, cultural and social needs of students was higher than 0.80. Also, the factor load of all factors of goals, content organization, teaching methods and evaluation methods in the curriculum model based on future research according to educational, cultural and social needs of students was higher than 0.90. Finally, the curriculum model based on future research according to educational, cultural and social needs of students was drawn. Conclusion: According to the curriculum model based on future research according to educational, cultural and social needs of students, officials and planners can design appropriate programs based on educational, cultural and social needs for students.
