Design and Presentation of an Optimal Curriculum Model for Innate Social Education in Elementary School

Purpose: This study aimed to design and present an optimal curriculum model for innate social education in elementary school. Methodology: This research was conducted using a qualitative approach, employing content analysis and document analysis methods. The study's population included teachers and experts in Tehran, selected purposefully. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, and analysis continued until theoretical saturation was achieved. Findings: The findings revealed that the goals of innate social education include elements such as thinking and reasoning, honesty and integrity, responsibility, cooperation, and building self-confidence. Additionally, the use of diverse teaching methods, such as interactive learning and learning through games and projects, along with diverse assessment methods like continuous assessment and self-evaluation, were identified as key components in improving students' social education. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that to enhance social education in elementary students, curricula should be designed to not only strengthen cognitive skills but also develop social, emotional, and ethical skills. It is recommended that educational policymakers and curriculum designers give greater attention to integrating social and ethical values into elementary school curricula.
