Abstract

Purpose: The present study aims to explain the relationship between marital quality of life and women's attitudes toward childbearing. Methodology: The research method employed in this study is a survey. The statistical population consists of women aged 15-49 in reproductive age residing in the city of Fasa. A sample of 400 individuals was determined and selected using a random sampling method. The research instrument is a questionnaire, for which face validity was used to determine validity, and the Cronbach's alpha method was applied to assess reliability through internal consistency. Findings: The descriptive results of the study indicate that the average score of women's attitudes toward childbearing in Fasa is at a moderate to high level. Analytical findings reveal that among demographic variables, age and education have a significant relationship with women's attitudes toward childbearing. Explaining the dependent variable in terms of all independent variables shows that the duration of marriage, number of children, age, and social support are, respectively, the strongest predictors of women's attitudes toward childbearing. The total variables considered in the study account for 25.8% of the variance in attitudes toward childbearing. Conclusion: The study results indicated that marital quality of life and demographic factors such as age, education, and social support influence women's attitudes toward childbearing and can predict changes in their perspectives.
