Investigating the Structural Factors of Threats Affecting the Reproduction of National Identity in Teenagers (Case Study: Students of Kohgilouye and Boyer Ahmad Provinces)

Purpose: National identity may be considered as one of the most important aspects of the identity of the people of a society. One of the duties of important institutions of society, which includes family, education, politics, etc., is to help reproduce national identity in the youth and young generation of the society. In this research, the structural factors of threats affecting the reproduction of national identity in teenagers of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad provinces have been investigated. Methodology: This is a quantitative and survey research, during which it was conducted with 400 teenagers aged 13-16 in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmed provinces using questionnaire technique. The used questionnaire is a tool developed by the researcher, whose validity is calculated using form and content validity and construct validity, and its reliability is calculated using Cronbach's alpha coefficient. The research data has been analyzed using spss and Amos software. Findings: The findings show that there is a relationship between globalization and the reproduction of national identity in teenagers. There is a relationship between the educational system's inattention to national identity and the reproduction of national identity in teenagers. There is a relationship between national economic weakness and the reproduction of national identity in teenagers. Among the structural factors, globalization and inattention of the educational system to national identity have an effect on the reproduction of national identity in teenagers. Conclusion: The results showed that structural factors have different effects on the reproduction of national identity in male and female teenagers. Also, structural factors have different effects on the reproduction of national identity in teenagers living in cities and villages.
